A Daylong Seminar on Employment Prospects

The seminar was organized by the Yuba Tourism Club of the college in association with Centre for Tourism Studies, North Lakhimpur.

A daylong seminar on employment prospects in tourism industry was held in Lakhimpur Commerce College. The seminar was organized by the Yuba Tourism Club of the college in association with Centre for Tourism Studies, North Lakhimpur. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr Lohit Hazarika, Principal of the college. The objective of the seminar was explained by Prof. Anirban Patgiri, coordinator of Yuva Tourism Club of Lakhimpur Commerce College. Zakir Hussain from Centre for Tourism Studies attended the seminar as a resource person. He explained the career prospects in the tourism sector ranging from hospitality, travel booking, guided tour, holiday packages, cruises and other activities in the global tourism map. The seminar was also attended by senior professors Purabi Dutta Hazarika, Dr. Rupjyoti Bhattacharjee, Mridushmita Hazarika, Dr. Satya Nath Pegu, Mrinalini Pegu, Saurav Chakravartty and students of the final semesters.
