Proceeding of the Career Counseling held at Lakhimpur Commerce College on 08-02-2022
A Career Counseling Workshop has been organized by the Career Counseling Cell of Lakhimpur Commerce College to highlight various aspects and prospects for a better career and prosperous future for the students on 08-02-2022 in collaboration with Sankardev IAS Academy, A Unit of Sailaja Sankkalp Social Trust with special talk on the theme “RIGHT GUIDANCE AT THE RIGHT TIME”.At first, the objective of the workshop is expressed by Dr. Biva Dutta, Convener, Career Guidance Cell, Lakhimpur Commerce College. Dr. Lohit Hazarika, Principal, Lakhimpur Commerce College delivered a brief talk on the relevance of the workshop. Swapnanil Baruah, Retd. IAS and Chief Mentor of SIASA in his interaction with the gatherings talked on how the students can dream and achieve the target of civil service examination. He also urged on the need of the dominance of the Local community in the civil service sector like UPSC and APSC. He also advised the students to grow the habit of reading best and influential books such as Novel winning book of Amartya Sen and books of Homen Borgohain. Sasanka Hazarika, another official of the Academy, also highlighted the aims and objectives of the Sankardev IAS Academy. In his speech, Shivendra Singh, the Academic Director, SIASA encouraged the students to dream big and dream for Civil Services. He expressed his fifteen years of long experience of grooming civil service aspirants in Delhi and talked about various strategies and self-motivation on the part of the students to clear such Competitive examinations. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Deepjan Gohain, member, Career Guidance Cell, Lakhimpur Commerce College. The workshop is attended by the undersigned guests, faculties and students.
