Fifth lecture of Golden Jubilee series delivered in LCC

The fifth lecture of Golden Jubilee Lecture Series was delivered in Lakhimpur Commerce College today. The lecture was delivered by eminent academician and national science writer Award-2019 winner Dr Amiya Rajbangshi in an august gathering in the college. The 5th Golden Jubilee Lecture Series began with an address by Prof. Sazzad Hussain, convener of the Golden Jubilee Lecture Series of Lakhimpur Commerce College. The welcome address was delivered by Principal Dr. Lohit Hazarika. In her lecture, Dr Rajbongshi referred to the ongoing series of events that would culminate in the 18th G-20 Summit in New Delhi this year and informed that the topic of her lecture, Diversity, Inclusiveness and Mutual Respect was the part of the core theme of this year’s G-20 summit. Focusing on her topic, Dr Rajbangshi said that India has been a country of diversity and had been inclusive in its nature and practice. She elaborated that India always stood for the values of diversity, inclusiveness and mutual respect since the ancient past and these were reflected by the works of great persons like Swami Viveknanda to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam at various stages of time and period. Referring to present developments like AI she said that students has the immense potentiality and opportunity to choose and excel in their academic fields from yoga to spiritualism and a sense for respect for all including the entire living creatures of the universe. Earlier, Dr. Amiya Rajbangshi was felicitated by Principal Dr. Lohit Hazarika, Vice Principal Prof. Gopal Kumar Chetry and Accounts Officer Deepak Borborah at the Golden Jubilee Lecture Series function. The function was also attended by Dr. Mukunda Rajbangshi, Presdent of the Golden Jubilee Organizing Committee of Lakhimpur Commerce College
