The newly constructed gate of Lakhimpur Commerce College at its second campus in Chukulibhariya in North Lakhimpur was inaugurated 28-10-2023. The gate was inaugurated by Urmila Bordoloi, wife of late Robin Bordoloi, the retired Vice Principal of the college whose family has donated it. An inaugural ceremony was organized for that occasion which was anchored by Prof. Dipul Baruah, senior teacher of the college and attended by Dr. Lohit Hazarika, the Principal, Gopal Chetry, Vice Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college, members of students union and family members of late Robin Bordoloi. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Lohit Hazarika, the Principal expressed gratitude to the family members of late Robin Bordoli for donating the gate to the college on the occasion of its golden jubilee celebration. Dr. Jyotish Bordoloi, retired Associate Professor of Govt. College, Halflong and younger brother of late Robin Bordoloi and alumnae of Lakhimpur Commerce College also spoke on the life and influence of his late brother while paying glowing tributes to him on that occasion. The meeting was also attended by Dr Debashish Bordoli, Prof. Bahnisikha Bordoloi and Dr. Rituparna Bordoloi, son and daughters of late Robin Bordoloi, Dr. KM Riva Das Bordoloi, daughter-in-law and Dr. Silpee Saikia, sister-in-law and many others.
