REPORT OF “A TALK ON STRESS MANAGEMENT” organized by Physical and Mental Wellness Cell, Lakhimpur Commerce College
A Talk on Stress management was organized by the Physical and Mental Wellness Cell, LCC ON 1ST of April 2022 at 1pm in the Conference Room. Dr. Shamiul Akhtar Borbora, the District Nodal Officer of National Mental Health Programme, Lakhimpur was invited as the Resource Person to deliver the talk. All the faculties, library staff and non-teaching members attended the programme .The meeting started with a welcome address by Dr. Rupjyoti Bhattacharjee the Convener of the cell who also highlighted on the need of addressing the issue of stress managment in the work place. The Principal of the college, Dr. Lohit Hazarika chaired the meeting and in his welcome speech expressed the hope that all the members of the college would be benefitted by the interactive session with the resource person.The Resource Person in his presentation gave an overview of the various aspects concerning mental health and stress ,its causes,types, effects of stress and ways to deal and reduce stress. In the interactive session the participants raised their queries related to the theme of the talk and it were met effectively by the resource person. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rinti Dutta, member of the Physical and Wellness Cell, LCC.
