"World Day for Safety and Health at Work" observed at LCC:
North Lakhimpur: 28th April: World Day for Safety and Health at Work" was observed at Lakhimpur Commerce College today along the rest of the world. Organized by the Department of Economics a session was held for that occasion which was inaugurated by Dr Lohit Hazarika, Principal. The objective of the programme was explained by Dr Sangeeta Borthakur Tamuli, HoD-Economics. Prof. Sazzad Hussain, HoD of English and columnist attended the session as resource person. He spoke on the local aspects of the significance of the day by calling to keep a vigil at the violation of rights of safety and health at work. An open discussion was held at the session which was participated by Prof. T.C .Deka, Dr. S.M. Borgohain, Prof. Bhrigu Kr. Phukan, Librarian Mrs. Runjun Baruah and others.
