Plantation Drive and Foundation of Gate laid at Chukulibhoria Campus of Lakhimpur Commerce College on 28th April, 2022. The foundation of gate was laid by Mrs. Urmila Saikia Bordoloi wife of late Robin Bordoloi. Dr. Lohit Hazarika, Principal of the college extended gratitude towards the Robin Bordoloi family for their contribution to Lakhimpur Commerce College. The Internal security and Cleanliness Cell of Lakhimpur Commerce College conducted a massive plantation drive at the Chukulibhoria campus. This was followed by Bohag Bihu culmination ceremony where the College Husori troupe performed various bihu dances. Popular Film actress Prastuti Parasar visited the Chukulibhoria campus of the college as guest of honour.

A massive tree plantation drive was carried out today by Lakhimpur Commerce College at its Chukulibhoriya campus in a bid to provide more green coverage to the locality

 A massive tree plantation drive was carried out today by Lakhimpur Commerce College at its Chukulibhoriya campus in a bid to provide more green coverage to the locality. The plantation drive was organized by the Resource Management and Maintenance Committee of Lakhimpur Commerce College in active collaboration of Lakhimpur District Forest Division (Territorial) under its Green School Initiative programme.  The plantation drive began with the planting of saplings by Ashok Kumar Dev Chawdhury, DFO (T)-Lakhimpur and Dr. Lohit Hazarika, Principal of Lakhimpur Commerce College. Speaking on the occasion DFO Chawdhury asked the college authority to introduce some model activities in its adopted village to generate livelihood like seed germination, plant nursery and mushroom cultivation and assured all possible helps from his department. The village headman of Chukulibhoria under Chaboti GP Padmeswar Chutia, Forest Beat Officer Nazrul Islam, social worker Hamidur Rahman and other forest personnel also participated in the plantation drive. The plantation drive programme was anchored by Prof. Dipul Baruah, coordinator of the the Resource Management and Maintenance Committee of the college and was assisted by Prof. Padmeswar Dihingiya, Prof. Achyut Kumar Gogoi, Prof. Aban Chandra Barman, Prof. Mahesh Dutta, Prof. Deepjan Gohain, office assistant Deepak Borborah and actively participated by General Secretary of students union Aziz Ali and his union colleague Devanghshu Diswania.
